My weekend went to the dog.

Well, there hasn't been much of anything (good) to blog about lately, but that's all a story for the LiveJournal, so I'll skip it. However, now that I am getting back into the groove of life again, I had a most excellent weekend... with my dog!
Saturday we packed up and headed to the dogpark, where we started in the fenced area for big dogs. The only other playmate there for Macy was this really grotesquely oversized pitbull/great dane mix that hadn't been snipped (yikes)! I wouldn't want Macy to make me play with him, so I couldn't really in good conscience make her do it either. BUT... the only other option was the fenced area for all dogs...
So, I gently guided her around and introduced her to about 25 other dogs before fearfully taking her off the leash and you know what happened?? Nothing! She played nice with all of them! I was so afraid she was going to act badly and make me look like a fool, but alas, she did not.
Sunday we packed up again and headed to the waterfront, went for the longest walk ever and then sat outside and had some lunch at Macaroni Grill. Good times were had by all.
Not surprisingly, her and I laid on the couch and read for the majority of the evening. We were tuckered out for sure.
